To summarize, some top advantages of company setup and formation in FFZ are:

  • convenient access to local and global markets by land, sea, and air.
  • Variety of investment fields
  • Investor-oriented policies
  • Efficient and cost-effective investment facilitation
  • Full investment security

If you are interested in setting up a business in this prosperous free zone, then you are in luck. The procedure for obtaining a Fujairah Free Zone Visa is straightforward and simple.

In fact, FFZA offers investors one of the most cost-effective and minimal requirement processes for obtaining visa and license in the UAE.

Fujairah Free Zone License Process

To apply for a visa in the free zone, first, you must set up and establish a business. To do this, you must obtain a license for the Fujairah Free Zone. This is a relatively simple process with an incorporation time of only one working day, as long as all documentation is complete.

Here are the general steps for obtaining the license for Fujairah free zone company setup, which will lead to the attainment of the Fujairah Free Zone Visa:

  1. Application Form
  2. Business plan or brief description of the project
  3. Passport copy
  4. Bank Statement
  5. Share Capital of AED 150,000 (for Free Zone incorporation only)

Additional requirements if applying for manufacturing license are:

  1. Duly Filled Environmental Form
  2. Project Report

The process for obtaining an FFZA license is simple and can be completed within one week. License fees start from AED 26,500 inclusion of License and rent annual fees, Freezone utility fees, Registration fee, and refundable deposit.

Fujairah Free Zone Visa Process

After obtaining the FFZ license, there are still some steps that may be taken before you can successfully operate your business while living within the UAE. Attaining the visa is essential in order to legally stay in Dubai

1. Establishment Card (CEC)

Once these above-mentioned steps for the license are cleared, the next step will be obtaining the establishment card for your business. It can take between 8 and 14 days to obtain the company establishment card from the relevant immigration authority, in this case the Fujairah Immigration Authority. Once this is complete, the next step is e-channel registration for the visa.

2. E-Channel Registration

E-channel services remove extensive paperwork and unnecessary delays during the visa application process. In this step, the individual’s qualified PRO will visit an authorized typing center and register for the online visa application services. This will involve a one-time fee of approximately AED 2,300 and a refundable security deposit of AED 5,025.

3. Entry Visa

The relevant documentation that will be required for obtaining the visa are as follows:

  • Company Letter
  • Employment Contract
  • Trade license Copy
  • Original Passport and 3 Copies
  • Original Visa and 3 Copies
  • Passport Sized Photo (10 Copies)

The individual must first apply for an entry visa. This is a necessary step to obtaining a residency visa. After all the necessary documentation is submitted, the visa will be processed. It is advisable to seek assistance from a PRO agent or business formation in Dubai consulting firm, as they can effectively walk you through the process and submit documentation.

4. Medical Examination and ID Card Registration

Once the entry visa is issued, then Status Change will be successful. After this, applicants must appear for their medical tests, biometrics, and photo. These steps are necessary for obtaining the EID. The medical examinations include screenings, blood test for infectious diseases and chest X-ray tests.

After the medical examination is cleared, the applicant is free to register for their official Emirates ID Card (EID). Registration for the Emirates ID card is a must. It can be issued from an official ID Authority. The card will give the individual access to government services such as opening a bank account, entering tenancy agreements, or taking out contracts for mobile phones.

5. Stamping of Visa and EID Issuance

The final step is stamping of the residence visa. In this stage, the official stamp is added to the passport, which grants a 3-year visa to live in the UAE, although some visas may grant up to 10 years. This process may take up to 15 days. Once the stamping is complete, the individual will be allowed to legally live and operate their business from the free zone without any issues.

Fujairah Free Zone Visa Renewal Process

Visa is usually granted for up to 3 years, after which the individual must renew their visa at least one month prior to the expiry date. This will allow them to continue living in Fujairah and avoid penalties and fines. The renewal process can usually be done by the sponsor or through PRO representation.

For renewal of the visa, the following documentation will be required:

  • Company Letter
  • Employment Contract
  • Trade license Copy
  • Original Passport and 3 Copies
  • Personal Photo (10 Copies)
  • Health Card Or Copy

As you can see, within some simple steps and formalities, you can obtain your residency visa and start regularly operating your business from within Fujairah Free Zone!
