
In a significant move to enhance the education sector, the UAE has awarded Golden Residency to 16,456 outstanding students, graduates, and educational specialists. The announcement was made by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) on the occasion of Emirati Education Day, celebrated on February 28.
The Golden Visa program, aimed at attracting and retaining top talent, has granted long-term residency to high-achieving students and experts in education. According to Maj-Gen Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of ICP, this initiative aligns with the UAE’s vision of fostering a knowledge-based economy and ensuring a skilled workforce.
Breakdown of Golden Visa Recipients
The beneficiaries of the Golden Residency program include:
- 10,710 top-performing high school students
- 5,246 graduates from accredited universities within the UAE
- 337 educational specialists
- 147 graduates from globally recognized institutions
- 16 elite scholars in the field of education
Al Khaili emphasized that the UAE remains a global leader in education, with policies designed to equip students with advanced skills and knowledge.

he stated.
