February 24, 2025by Muhammad Muneeb

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has unveiled a new six-month multiple-entry visa for yacht crew members, enhancing maritime travel flexibility in Dubai. The announcement was made at the ongoing Dubai International Boat Show at Dubai Harbour.

In a statement shared on social media, GDRFA highlighted the objective of the new visa, emphasizing a smoother and more flexible experience for yacht professionals navigating Dubai’s waters.

“This initiative is set to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global yachting hub by offering seamless entry and exit for yacht crew members,”

stated a GDRFA representative at the event. Those interested in availing the service can visit GDRFA’s booth at the Dubai International Boat Show, which runs until February 23.

Enhancing Maritime Services with ‘Mobile Marina’

In addition to the visa announcement, GDRFA introduced the ‘Mobile Marina’—a pioneering service designed to streamline entry and exit formalities for yacht owners. The service features:

  • Dedicated teams stationed at Dubai’s marinas to assist with documentation.
  • Instant processing of entry and exit procedures, with transactions completed in under 30 seconds.
  • Simplified formalities, ensuring a hassle-free maritime experience.

The announcement follows Abu Dhabi’s 10-year UAE Golden Visa initiative under the ‘Abu Dhabi Golden Quay’ program launched in December 2024. The initiative, in collaboration with Yas Marina and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, aims to attract high-net-worth yacht owners and investors to the UAE.

With Dubai’s new multiple-entry visa and the Mobile Marina service, the emirate continues to solidify its status as a premier destination for yacht enthusiasts and maritime investors.

The Dubai International Boat Show remains a key platform for unveiling major maritime initiatives, drawing industry leaders, investors, and yacht enthusiasts worldwide.
