SEDD has announced a special AED 1,000 instant industrial licence during the Make it in the Emirates Forum, giving manufacturers and industrial investors a lower-cost way to explore business setup in Sharjah.
The initiative applies to permitted industrial activities under SEDD and is aimed at supporting new manufacturing, production, and industrial projects in the emirate. However, SEDD has not yet confirmed whether this AED 1,000 offer will continue after the forum or become a permanent licensing option.
For investors, this offer can reduce the first step cost, but it does not remove the usual compliance requirements. Depending on the activity, businesses may still need approvals related to premises, safety, environment, product registration, visas, and other operational requirements.
The move also supports Sharjah’s wider goal of attracting serious industrial projects, especially businesses that can bring production capacity, technical expertise, and export potential to the emirate.
