The collaboration aims to implement global best practices, streamline investor services, and reinforce Sharjah’s position as a secure and business-friendly destination.

Strengthening Security and Safety Measures

A high-level meeting was held at SAIF Zone, attended by H.E. Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of HFZA and SAIF Zone, and H.E. Brigadier Sami Khamees Al Naqbi, Director General of the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, along with senior officials from both entities. Discussions focused on improving information-sharing mechanisms related to commercial activities, enhancing investor services, and accelerating the issuance of building completion and compliance certificates for preventive safety requirements.

H.E. Saud Salim Al Mazrouei emphasized that the collaboration marks a pivotal step in creating a safer and more efficient business environment.

“Security and safety are fundamental pillars of economic growth and sustainable development. Our free zones are committed to maintaining the highest safety standards through regular inspections, awareness campaigns, and adherence to preventive safety measures,”he stated.

One of the primary goals of this initiative is to facilitate seamless investor operations by simplifying regulatory processes. Measures under discussion include the implementation of a digital system linking free zone authorities with Sharjah Civil Defence, enabling faster processing of safety-related documentation.

Brigadier Sami Khamis Al Naqbi highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between Civil Defence and Sharjah’s free zones.
