Dubai has launched a new business-friendly initiative called the “One Freezone Passport,” allowing companies to operate across multiple free zones with just one license. The program is designed to make business expansion easier and faster for local and international investors.
Louis Vuitton is the first company to benefit from the new system. It will now manage warehouse operations in the Jebel Ali Free Zone and run its corporate office from One Za’abeel under the Dubai World Trade Centre Authority. The entire licensing process was completed in only five days.
Amna Al Ali from JAFZA called the program a major step forward in how free zones operate in the region, making it more attractive for companies wanting flexible growth options.
Dubai offers over 40 free zones, where foreign investors can fully own their businesses. These areas also provide tax benefits and advanced infrastructure. The One Freezone Passport makes it simpler for businesses to expand, saving time and paperwork.
The initiative supports Dubai’s D33 Economic Agenda, which focuses on increasing the city’s GDP and making it more competitive by 2033. Earlier this year, Dubai also allowed free zone businesses to open branches in mainland areas after receiving approval from the Department of Economy and Tourism.
With this new license system, Dubai continues to position itself as a smart choice for global companies looking for fast, flexible, and investor-friendly business solutions.
